We took a trip back in time with A & J’s 1920 vintage Great Gatsby themed wedding. It was a beautiful August day and such a unique wedding! With Amy’s whole family using Golf’s Steak House for their wedding reception it was no doubt that Amy would also use this as her reception venue.
When I first met Amy and asked her theme she didn’t hesitate to tell me ‘Great Gatsby’ she had already planned out many of the elements. We collaborated to tie the rest together.
Golf’s steak house provided the perfect backdrop for their theme, with it’s rich elegant dark setting. Amy crafted her decor elements stunningly, she handmade the bridesmaid bouquets and centerpieces. Using black, silver and gold as the color pallet.
The centerpieces featured 3 painted wine bottles, draped in pearls, surrounded with gems and tea lights. Also featured was a candy bar with 1920’s inspired candies, and we set up beautiful antiques around their card box to add to the theme.
The bridesmaids were dressed in grey, vintage style dresses. Amy wore a beautiful white bridal gown and pearls to match her theme.
Guests dinned on delicious meals from Golf’s Steak House, danced the evening away with great music and snacked on poutine and pizza before the night was over.
Thank you Amy & Joey for it was a great honor to be your wedding planner!
